Bombasta and Salsa del Rio are among the top headliners scheduled to perform at the Fats Tuesday International Fest.
There will be dozens of music groups, food, arts and children's games at the free-admission family fest scheduled March 4-8 at the recently named America's Amphitheatre at Wonderland of the America's Mall!, 4522 Fredericksburg Rd at IH-10 and Loop 410
Also performing are Mariachi Nueva Generacion, Austin's Braulio y Fuzzion, Salsa Brava, Jai Roots, Grupo Pasion, Ronny Tee,
Arcade Fire and Lady Antebellum were among the big winners at the 2011 Grammy Awards. Additional winners include jazz bassist Esperanza Spalding who took best new artist honors.
(Tejano music lost another pioneer today when news drifted throughout the Southwest that Tony 'Ham' Guerrero, founder of the famed Tortilla Band, passed away today (1/29/2011) from complications from pneumonia. He was 66. Our correspondent Ramon Hernandez files this report.)
