advice to start my own band, was put together by myself. The majority of the songs we play is Tex-Mex conjunto,” said Verheyden. “Besides that, we play songs which also were played by Flaco and the Texas Tornadoes. That is why we called the band Tex-MeXplosion.

“Songs not being Tex-Mex are for instance: “Streets of Bakersfield” where Flaco plays the accordion, “Lucille” (rock version), “Together Again” etc. Both guitar players have a wide experience, but mainly rock music. Our present drummer, the oldest one in the group, did “it” all and toured all over Europe for a long time when he was drumming to make a living. Nowadays he is a caretaker on a school, were he also does some music teaching.”
