Singer Rebecca Valadez will be among the performers in a benefit concert Tuesday for her mother Sandy Valadez.
Sandy Valadez suffered a recent stroke a few weeks ago is has been recovering.
Sandy has been a familiar figure at various music industry events. She is always friendly, energetic and active in various music projects, most recently, the pre-production
of an indie film with producer/graphic artist Jorge Flores and directed by radio consultant Danny Garcia.
The benefit is scheduled 6 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 14 at the Cadillac Bar, 212 S. Flores St. Cover is $5.
Rebecca Valadez will be backed by the Soto Band from Los Angeles.
Valadez has been performing for more than 10 years. Her resume includes stints with Mazz and Janet Jackson.
