 Former Iron Maiden singer Paul DiAnno stops in SA

Paul DiAnno, former Iron Maiden original singer just launched his new U.S. Tour that includes a Feb 13 stiop in San Antonio.

The tour dates were released after it was announced that Dallas-based music immigration attorney Matt Gallagher confirmed that Dianno had

gotten his visa approved. This will be DiAnno first US tour in 15 years.

DiAnno will stop in at the Cadillac Bar, 212 S. Flores on Feb. 13. Opening the SA show is the group Young Generation. $15 tickets are now on sale at the Cadillac Bar. The show is presented by OV Productions. www.pauldianno.com

The tour began Jan. 15 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City. the two-dozen city tour includes stop in Florida, texax, Tennessee, Minnesota and Calfironia.  

DiAnno was interviewed recently on Serius' "Eddie Trunk Live" show. And he was asked about the status of a new studio CD on http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com.

"We did five new tracks in Germany [in 2008] — it's very industrialized — but we got in a bit of an argument with the record company and we told them to piss off, basically. So I kept them songs and a friend of mine in Salisbury down in Southwest England, handed me 16 pieces of music so I'm going to go away when I have a bit of time and see what I can come up with for that."



She was known as the singer of such 1980s hits as  "Lovergirl," "Ooo La La La" and "Lead Me On." Her name was Teena Marie and among her claims to fame was that she was the first white act on the legendary Motown label.

Teena Marie died Sunday. She was 54.

She reportedly died in her sleep and was found by her daughter.
An autopsy for the R&B singer was scheduled for early this week, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office told news sources Monday.
