Sauce Gonzalez, Ernie Garibay at Tejano Explosion

Sauce Gonzalez and Ernie Garibay have just been announced as the headliners for the last day to be confirmed at the 2009 Tejano Explosion.

Tejano Explosion organizers Jesse Diaz and Romeo Garcia sent us

these updated details for the Monday April 20 lineup:

"Monday Schedule,

We are doing a tribute to the Westside Sound. The main headliners are "Sauce Gonzalez & the Westside Horns" and "Ernie Garibay & Cats Don't Sleep." 

Margo is in the process of adding other local artists but these two will be the main artists. Thank you for all your help. Jesse"

Who wrote Latin Breed's "El Tejano Enamorado," perhaps the national anthem of Tejano?

Fermin Limon, longtime Tex-Mex band manager and promoter, was shot and killed late Sunday night.

Limon, 49, was known throughout the music industry as he managed several Tejano and norteno groups including Siggno, Notable, La Contra, and Solido under his Representaciones Limon agency. 

According to officials, Limon was shot after an apparent shootout outside the Punto 3 Night Club, 4012 N. Conway Ave., about 1:30 a.m. Monday. The bar was reportedly owned by Limon.
