Elizabeth releases new single 'Y Que Paso?'

One of the most promising new singers to emerge on the scene ie San Antonio-based Elizabeth "La Cantante.' She's made some headway isince late 2008 including securing some radio play and winning a few awards.

She is now releasing her new single titled "Y Que Paso?"

 

The single, which comes from Elizabeth-La Cantante's debut album entitled, "Siempre," was released June 4.

The tune iwas written by award-winning songwriter Humberto Ramón who was written several tunes for other performers including Mazz, Jay Perez and Bobby Pulido.

"Y Qué Pasó" is an accordion-driven polka with strong vocals produced by multi-Grammy award winner, Gilbert Velasquez.

Elizabeth has been on a roll this year, including such highlights as winning the "Mejor Revelación Del Año" at the Premios A La Música Latina last March. In addition, Elizabethis on the ballot for the best female artist and best crossover song, "Latina Sexy" in the upcoming Tejano Music Awards.

And according to a new releases from Elizabeth, the singer is consistently shows support for education and community service. She has recently participated in charitable events such as the March of Dimes Relay For Life and performing at the Texas Peace Officers Memorial in Austin.

She has also performed at a few benefit concerts dealing with public school education where Elizabeth "La Cantante" and her band Espada received the N.E.I.S.D. Superintendent's Award.
