Aerosmith: Steven Tyler in hospital after stage fall

Singer Steven Tyler sustained minor head and neck injuries after a fall Wednesday night during a performance in Rapid City, SD.

According to officials the Aerosmith lead singer fell backward while he was singing ""Love In an Elevator," during the concert at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Tyler, 61, was able to get up after

the fall and security rushed to get him transported to an area hospital.

Tyler was taken backstage and around 12:15 a.m., Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry came out to tell the audience Tyler was being taken to the hospital and that the show would not go on.

In other Aerosmith news, guitarists Joe Perry anoucned he has a new solo CD, “Joe Perry … Have Guitar Will Travel,” which is slated for a November release.

Perry also anounced he hopesto launch his own tour under the guise of the Joe Perry Project. 

His first three solo albums, all credited to the Joe Perry Project, were released in the early 1980s when he briefly quit Aerosmith during its drug-fueled nadir. 

“Have Guitar … Will Travel,” a nod to the similarly titled 1959 Bo Diddley album, was named by a fan.

Los Lonely Boys, one of the fastest rising groups in recent years, has reloaded their creative juices and are ready for a new CD to drop March 29.

Officials say the 11-track CD will be titled "Rockpango" which loosely translates to rock party.

The trio of Garza brothers - Henry, Ringo and Jojo, produced, wrote and recorded the album.
