2009 Tejano ROOTS: Pavos Reales, DLG, Ruco V,  Elizondo

There's a half dozen San Antonio legends getting inducted into the 2009 Tejano ROOTS Hall of Fame in November. The prestigious event takes place in the historic town of Alice, Texas.

NOV. 20-21 DATE has been POSTPONED until future date is announced - updated 10/5/2009

Among the 2009 class of inductees are San Antonio's Los Pavos Reales, Rudy Palacios, Gilberto ‘Gibby’ Escobedo, David Lee Garza, Gerardo ‘Jerry’

 De La Rosa, Manuel ‘ Manny’ Guerra, Patsy Torres, and Abelardo “Ruco’ Villareal.

In the category of Distributor, San Antonio's Chano Elizondo is also getting inducted. See complete inductee list below.

Performers to be announced shortly. The 10th Annual Noche de Fiesta Tejana is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at VFW Hall in The Birthplace of Tejano, Alice, Texas. http://www.tejanorootshalloffame.org/
