Rebirth: El Norteno Music back on line

El Norteno Music is a famed name, a storied record store. Through almost two decades music fans have made it a top stop for the latest in, and widest selection in Latin music.

Now the store has moved to a new location just blocks

 from the old one. El Norteno Music is now located at  3505 Wurzbach Rd. next to the Valero gas station and right across from Dillard's at Ingram Mall.

El Norteno Music owners Victor and Carmen promise continuation of great customer service and fine selection.

And they say their mottos are "Musica en su Ideoma" and "The Latin Music Central." Grand opening Nov. 1.

Performing for U.S. soldiers in an Iraq combat zone added a bit of an emotional edge says guitarist/singer Brad Banhagel of the rock metal group Axe.

“It was more than rewarding, we would do it again in a heartbeat,” said Banhagel in a recent interview.  “It was an honor for us to just to play for those guys.”

Axe, who recently returned from a two-week tour for U.S. soldiers in Iraq, headlines a concert scheduled Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Road House Saloon, 6159 FM 78. Also performing
