Forgotten Children: new book outlines obstacles in diabetes help

It is one of the most important books on the subject of diabetes to get published in years. It is titled "Forgotten Children: A True Story of How Politicians Endanger Children."

In celebration of Diabetes Awareness Month, author Dr. Robert Trevino will discuss

(and sign copies) of his book "Forgotten Children: A True Story of How Politicians Endanger Children." at 7 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 12.

The book signing will take place at the Regalo Gift Shop, Museo Alameda, 101 S. Santa Rosa. Trevino is the latest in the gift shop's Author Reading series. (210) 270-7324

All proceeds go to the non-profit Social & Health Research Center--an organization committed to diabetes and obesity prevention in communities and schools using the Bienestar/NEEMA Health

Proceeds will help continue research in obesity and type 2 diabetes prevention for children in the San Antonio area.
