This benefit concert is for a missing woman who disappeared

in Austin, Texas (Julie Ann Gonzales). She has been missing since March of 2010 and there has been national publicity with this case. The family has coordinated a benefit concert to raise money and awareness for this crime. Details:  http://www.julieanngonzalez.com

Gonzalez’ family has created a foundation to bring awareness and raise money to help in the search as well as other families with missing family members.

The non-profit foundation is located in Austin and was established in September of 2010. Sandra Soto, President of the Finding Hope Foundation, and mother of Julie Ann Gonzalez was compelled to help others in need as her family experienced such an unthinkable situation.

"This foundations will provide support for families who go through this. We’re finding out that missing people are become a common thing now,” said Soto in a interview. “No matter who you are or where you come from, anybody can disappear at any time.

“Our foundation is being setup to offer help to people who may go through something like this, which is now like a common criminal act. When it happens to you , you are lost. Dialing 911 is not the (complete) answer.”

The foundation guides families through state laws and common practices, jurisdiction restrictions, eye witness statements, proper private investigations and professional communication with local police. The group serves to educate the community on the missing and abduction to prevent tragedy from happening as well as offer guidance, assistance and emotional support to families.
