It was a big night for Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley Wednesday at the 44th CMAs.

The Country Music Awards put the spotlight on Lambert, who took the Best Female Vocalist, album of the year for “Revolution,” and for video (which she shared with director Trey Fanjoy).

Shelton grabbed Male Vocalist of the Year and

Musical Event of the Year for “Hillbilly Bone.”

Co-host Brad Paisley took Entertainer of the Year.

but the world seemed to revolve around Lambert who led all nominees with nine, and performed "That's The Way That the World Goes Round" and joined Loretta Lynn and Sheryl Crow for a rendition of Lynn's classic "Coal Miner's Daughter."
