Cattlemen's Menudo Cook-off call for entries

Cattlemen's Tavern is hosting the 1st annual Menudo Cook-Off on Sunday, Dec. 7. Talented and aspiring cooks are invited to sign up for the competition at the Cattlemen's Tavern, 915 W. Houston St. in the parking lot.

There will be a live remote by KXTN Tejano 107.5 FM radio from 4-6 p.m. Music will be provided all day by DJ Johnny C, who will play a mix of cumbia, Tejano, norteno and more, said Ramirez.

The cook-off is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m with judging scheduled at 5 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded from the 1st, 2nd and third place winners.

Entry fee is $55 and includes a health permit and deadline to enter is 7 p.m. Dec. 5.

Big screen TVs will also provide plenty of closeup action of NFL games throughout the day.
