It's been a while so it is welcome news that Elida Reyna & Avante are back on the scene with a new CD.

Officials from record label, Freddie Records, just announced the release of the new CD "Fantasia."

We don't have many details on the new CD but we expect to have a review ciopy in a few days.

Meantime, Elida was in San Antonio last week for the 2010 TMA

Fanfair. Before she went on stage she was presented with her award from the Tejano ROOTS Hall of Fame for Female Entertainer by Tejano Roots board member Linda Escobar.

Elida was inducted in to the Tejano ROOTS Hall Fame on Jan. 30, 2010

Also, Elida was also presented with another award by the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) for best female vocalist. Elida also met with her fans to take pictures and sign autographs.

We haven't seen Elida in a while but since she first broke on the scene in 1992, she's been one of the best leading female singers in the Tex-Mex market.

And while she doesn't have the solid team of musicians she started out with, - they have gone on to form their own group - Elida is still an artist to keep an eye on.
