Baracuda Entertainment President/event organizer Olga Ondush said the

competition is more than just a one-time event:

"I am building a relationship with each band and artist by giving them opportunities such as promotion, booking and also developing their skills," she said. "Some of the artists performing ...have been with me since the very beginning.

"I give them opportunities as I get them. Such as performing with national artists on shows that come in. We will be doing alot more in the coming months. I have formed an agency that is like a family as well. I give each artist a lot of professional support."

One advantage the 2010 Battle for America competition has over other routine competitions, is that artists support will go beyond said Ondush.

“A couple of things that make this Battle of Bands unique. One of them is that it is a national competition and we are hosting the regionals, which means that the top three bands or artists are automatically going to nationals,” said Ondush. “Another thing is that it is an 'original' music competition. I have also kept the bands and artists on the top of my list as far as making this event for them."

Joining Baracuda Entertainment in presenting the competition are TBR Studios, The Music Connection Magazine, Sonic Records, QuickStar Productions, Symmetric Sounds Studios, Glory Bridge Productions, and KENS-TV Great Day SA, 210TV.

According to Ondush, Symmetric Sounds Studio, the exclusive local music studio sponsor, along with Photos by Darren are awarding the top three winners some fantastic prizes that will be awarded on Sunday, March 29. KENS-TV’s Great Day SA will feature one band per day during the week of March 22, 23, 24 and 25 & 26 to perform live on the show.

Among the judges for the two-day competition are Symmetric Sounds Studio Owner/Producer Danny Patino, Film Director- “Indie Godmother” Mary Harder, music reporter/book author Ramiro Burr, 210TV Rafael Nieves, 210TV Show Host JC Flores, Music Producer Margie Marshall, TBR Studios Michael Langran; aka “Luckee” and DJ Solrac.
