Bachata Heightz drops in at the Warehouse

Bachata group swings into town as part of their Texas Tour. Bachata Heightz, from New York is swinging into the Warehouse, 1305 Houston. Also on tap DJ Extreme and DJ Eli.

The show is scheduled at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 30.

Bachata Heightz is a new teen bachata boy group that

features singers Jay Heightz, Da Phenomenon, Dee Major, Jru and Chino.

Bachata Heightz is about to release their debut CD on NuLife Music Entertainment label, titled "The First," produced by Alex Peña, José Díaz and Jerry García, on August 25.

Born and raised in Washington Heights, the group is made up of relatives.

The group cites influences as varied as R&B, hip hop and rock for their urban sound.

Their first single is "Me Puedo Matar," featuring guest Héctor Acosta "El Torito."

Bachata Heightz has been featured on AOL Latino and also participated in tours by Victor Manuelle and Gilberto Santa Rosa.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 9 p.m.
The concerts Thursday is presented by Olga Ondush's Baracuda Entertainment Booking Agency.
