Longtime Tejano drummer Valdemar “Val”  Guadiana Jr. was arrested Thursday on drug possession charges.

According to police reports, Guadiana was arrested at 4:27 p.m. Thursday at his apartment. According to the Bexar County Sheriffs department booking office, he was reportedly charged with

 two counts of possession of one gram of meth and cocaine. His bond was set at $2000 for each charge

Guadiana, a Del Rio native, has been in the Tex-Mex industry for more than two decades. He is one of the busiest, most versatile and popular drummers in the local music scene.

According to his Myspace website, he says he started playing drums since he was 13 years old.
