Mariachi Campanas de America and Chakare will be among the groups performing a benefit on Aug. 10 for the family of musician Frank "Paco" Gonzalez family.
According to Anthony Medrano and Laura Barberena, "Paco" was a good friend of theirs and other folks and also a notable musician.
The benefit is scheduled 2-9 p.m.,a Sunday, Aug. 10 at Frio Saloon, 801 S. Frio.
It will also feature Mariachi Festival de Oscar Garza, Dejavu, the Ghost Tracks and Vanessa y los Hombres del Fierro.
Admission will be free.
Donations will be accepted at the door. Officials will be selling brisket sandwich plates for $5.
All proceeds from door, food and raffles to benefit the Gonzalez family.
