at Graham Central Station.
In the history of Tejano, David Lee Garza, like Roberto Pulido, has been one of the top bands able to mix up polka-powered Tejano and folksy conjunto. They mix in horns and keyboards in the mix for a freewheeling mixture.
Fans of big band Tex-Mex can enjoy Liberty Band when they headlines the "Dance the Night Away" Summer Bash on Saturday.
The dance/concert is scheduled at 8 p.m. at the Fountain Bleau, 8353 Culebra. Also playing is SoundRave.

Another classic music show is scheduled Saturday night at Blessed Sacrament Church. The annual fundraiser is titled "Oldies But Goodies Bash" and it features Rocky Hernandez & OBG Band with special guest Rudy T.
Led by Rocky Hernandez on drums, the band includes Nando Aguilar, bass; Sammy Luna, sax and Bobby Villa, lead guitar. The Blessed Sacrament Hall is located at Oblate at Shannon Lee. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the dance starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 per couple and includes a full meal, refreshments and door/raffle prizes.

Elsewhere, Artie V & Suave, a versatile group that blends oldies, Top 40 and more takes the stage Friday (tonight) at the Cadillac Bar, 212 S. Flores. www.myspace.com/cadillacbar
Five Star Band takes over Friday at George's Place, 5214 Blanco Rd. while the Louis Shati Orchestra which mixes up Latin, salsa, and Tex-Mex plays Friday-Sunday at Arjon's International Club.
Conjunto fans can also check out the Royal Palace Ballroom at 3506 S.W. Military Dr where the lineup features George y Mague "Dueto Carta Blanca" at 1 p.m. Sunday, 2 p.m. Wednesday; Henry Zimmerle, 2 p.m. Monday, 2 p.m. Thursday.
