Grupo Maldad and Ricardo Castillon y La Diferencia will be among the performers at the 2008 Tejano Academy FanFare scheduled Wednesday at La Villita Plaza.
According to officials, also performing will be Latin Express from Dallas-Fort Worth area; Agnes y Arturo & New Variety Band from the Rio Grande Valley; Ram Herrera & the Outlaw Band; and Los Palominos.
As in all fan fairs, officials have set up booths where artists will be able to sign autographs and pose for photos with fans, free of charge. In addition, KXTN 107.5 FM will have a drawing for the 4th of July Las Vegas SuperDance Package (includes roundtrip air fare, room accommodations and dance tickets for both days).
Also participating at the Fanfare is the new TV show "Tejano y Más", which will have its kick-off celebration and will be on site interviewing participants. The TV show "Tejano y Más" will debut on KSAT TV-12 on June 21.
Fanfare sponsors include Alamo Music Center, Gibson Guitars, Miller-Lite, The Factor Group, South Central Music Source, Little Joe Hernandez, Velasquez Music, The Winning Edge, Compadres of the Tejano Academy.
