The top spot in weekend shows is the performance by the Rio Band tonight.
It is a tribute to Emilio, who is recovering at a Houston hospital for injuries sustained during an Easter Sunday tour bus accident. The tribute will feature Raulito, Diego and Emilio Navaira IV. Emilio's sons will be performing all of Emilio's hits, proceeds go to assist in medical and other expenses. The show is tonight, Friday,Aug, 22 at Graham Central Station.

Just in, is this concert benefit featuring David Marez, Anthony Hernandez, Jimmy Edward, Roger, Wendy & the Show. Proceeds will go to help pay for medical expenses for JinaInk.com publisher/photographer Jina Hernandez.
The benefit is scheduled Saturday, Aug 30. at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center,1301 Guadalupe. Tickets are $35/$40. Doors at 6 p.m., dinner 7 p.m. music 8 p.m. For details call Anthony Hernandez at (210) 999-1125

Pete Ybarra y Fuego, a popular group led by top accordionist Pete takes the stage tonight, Friday at Cadillac Bar, 212 S. Flores. No cover.
And check out Jorge Alejandro y La Paz, who specializes in international ballads, boleros, cumbias and polkas. He plays 9 p.m. Thursdays at George's Place, 5214 Blanco Rd. (210) 340-1275.
And Los Tovares, a solid Tex-Mex band takes the stagetonight,Friday at Luckey Road Saloon.
