Live music and dance will be showcased in the "Con Alma Hispana" concert scheduled
Sunday at Our Lady of the Lake University.
Presented by the HIspanic Heritage Society, the "Con Alma Hispana," is scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday at Thiry Auditorim.
Tickets are $10-$15.
The concert will feature pop singer Franco, Voces De San Antonio, Nataly Peña, Emanuel Zapata, David Strauss, Kevin Evans, flamenco dance group España Viva, and Hispanic Folklore Dancers Studio Mexicapan. (Photos courtesy Hispanic Heritage Society)
Also there will be a special appearance by singer Rosalinda Risso.
The concert is scheduled at Thiry Auditorium, Our Lady of The Lake University, 411 S.W. 24th.
The performances will start at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.
According to organizer Cristina Ortega, the event will be presented in three acts: "Las Tonadillas," a melodic stroll through the South American Andes, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Perú and Venezuela and a third act consisting of the songs, costumes and dances of the Southeast of México.
Sponsors include Frost Bank, City of San Antonio Cultural Affiars, Mimi Stevens Piper Foundation, Drury Inn, and San Antonio Express-News.
