Labor Day weekend is practically upon us and music fans have much to look forward to.
Weekend festivals include big names such as Raul Navaira, Pura Sabrosura, Stampede and more.
We start in Houston with the Super Labor Day Festival that has a huge lineup for 2-10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31 at the Guadalupe Plaza, Navigation at Jensen.
The roster includes La Pura Saborsura, Raul Navaira y Grupo Rio, Navairas (the children of Emilio and Raul Navaira), Veronica y Avance, Reflejo, Los Aguilares, Johnny Cruz and the Texas Chain Gang, Leo y Los Dominatez, and Los Cuatro Aces.
The family festival will also include children's rides and food booths.

Event producer Charlie Tijerina of Bravo Entertainment says that the festival is designed to provide entertainment for the whole family.
"As an advocate of new talent, I have decided to showcase up and coming talent like the Navaira Family and Veronica y Avance," he said. "For the adult fans, I have secured La Pura Saborsura and the legendary Los Aguilares, and for our norteno and conjunto fans we have Reflejo, Johnny Cruz plus other groups to round out the show."
Meanwhile, there is the Labor Day Weekend Celebration here in San Antonio that will feature Texas Legends, La Formula, Five Star Band, La Calma, Artie V y Grupo Suave, La Dystancia, Briana/BMF, Stampede, La Traizion, Albert Zamora y Talento, and Eddie "G" Gonzales.
Of course, the lineup is subject to change w/o notice. The festival is taken place at the Market Square Aug. 30-Sept. 1 and is presented by El Mercado Association. The annual shingdig will also feature food booths and more.
Also, Bobby Fraga & Eternity is playing 6-10 p.m. Monday, Labor Day at the VFW Post 76 "Labor Day Party" at the VFW, Tenth 10 St.
