Mexican singer-songwriter Marco Antonio Solís is back in the news with a new CD and some surprising sales stats.
The title of the new CD is "Una Noche en Madrid." Marco Antonio Solis was recorded during a live performance in Madrid, Spain at the prestigious Palacio Municipal de Congresos in late 2007.
The CD track listing includes some of its most popular hits such as "Morenita," "Antes De Que Te Vayas," "Si No Te Hubieras Ido," "Ojalá," "El Peor De Mis Fracasos," "Amor En Silencio," "Tu Cárcel" and "No Puedo Olvidarla."
According to Soundscan, Solís sold more than 130,000 copies within the first two weeks that it went on sale.
And last week, "Una Noche en Madrid," slipped to No. 1 on Billboard's Latin albums chart.
Marco Antonio Solis has also launched one of most extensive tours in his career. According to his record label, his tour schedule includes the following cities:
